Meet Our Undergraduate Executive Board!

Why RIVER Clinic: My passion for ensuring kids have the right to a healthy, happy, and safe childhood, cultivated through my experience as a camp counselor, brought me to RIVER Pediatric in spring 2024! I deeply value our commitment to preventative health through education and screening. I also absolutely love our community and the way we uplift each other! I’m always down for a good icebreaker or round of clinic jeopardy. When I’m not in clinic, you can find me shucking muscles and running gels in the Shapiro Lab, working with brave birthing patients as a volunteer doula, or enjoying a good book! I’m so excited to curate incredible learning, career development, and connection experiences in clinic class and explore ways to better meet our patients’ needs in clinic this year!

Why RIVER Clinic: I joined RIVER my freshman year because it was the only student-run clinic dedicated to pediatric care, and I knew it would be the perfect place for me to contribute both my passion for working with children and my interest in pediatric health. What drew me to RIVER, in particular, is its mission to promote health education and prevention for children who may face barriers to accessing healthcare. I’m excited to continue working with our local communities and expand our clinic’s reach to make an even greater impact on the families we serve! In my free time, I enjoy going on hikes, trying new food/cafe spots, and going on spontaneous side quests with my friends!

Why RIVER Clinic: I joined RIVER because I wanted to help support underserved families and was excited about our emphasis on education. My favorite parts about RIVER are how quickly we grow and our amazing intern family! Outside of clinic I like to spend time doing biochem research, volunteering with kids, knitting, and hiking. This year, I'm looking forward to bringing meaningful education and clinical services to RIVER's families, and getting to know all our new faces :-)

Why RIVER Clinic: River Pediatric Clinic's emphasis on ACEs (adverse childhood experiences) and tailored, holistic care for children drew me towards the clinic. I appreciate the impact we can make on pediatric communities and the shared dedication of the clinic members. Outside of RIVER, I conduct computational neuroimaging research, I am a part of RISHI and HOPE (2 RSOs), scribe, and love doing ceramics. As Co-Community Education Director, I look forward to expanding on the incredible progress RIVER has made on demonstrating the importance of preventative care and healthcare education for children and their parents.

Why RIVER Clinic: I joined R.I.V.E.R. Pediatric Clinic during my third year at UC Davis because I was drawn to its focus on preventive pediatric care and serving children and families in the Greater Sacramento community. Outside of R.I.V.E.R., I work as a clinical research assistant and enjoy spending time with friends and exploring new places. As Marketing Director, I’m excited to highlight R.I.V.E.R.’s work through engaging outreach, strengthen our presence on campus and in the community, and connect more students and families with our mission and resources.

Why RIVER Clinic: I joined RIVER during my freshman year and immediately loved the opportunity to interact with Sacramento’s youth in a clinical setting. The clinic also reflected my interest in public health, especially its strong emphasis on preventative care and education. Over the summer, I continued exploring healthcare outside of RIVER by working as a CNA and gaining experience through shadowing. Outside of healthcare, I enjoy going on hikes, hanging out with friends, and playing Spikeball. This year, as the Finance Director, I’m excited to build on my experiences with RIVER by helping expand the clinic’s resources and reach through grants and fundraising.
